It’s hard to blame Tyndale for continuing to sell the series if people were buying the books. I don’t think one reached No. 1 until the seventh book in the series.
The publishers has done a lot for the kingdom. The success of a series that maybe should have run its course enabled so many more solid Christian books to be published that wouldn’t have been otherwise.
I don’t ever blame publishers for paying us writers more money than they should.
[ Maybe it was a really small rapture that only included him. ]
I was expecting him to teleport out of his clothing as scotty in heaven beamed him up....
I read his Left Behind series. It really gave me insight into how things would be with an atheist, anti Christ one world leader, people having to take the mark of the beast, Christians only being able to see the sign of another Christian. He wrote those books years ago- fast forward and seeing how the world has evolved, chaos, ISIS, hatred and murder of Christians, greed, money, power has taken root.
Not so far fetched as a possible ending of this world.
Amen!
RIP.
I got into it on Facebook once with a few who seemed to confuse Left Behind with scripture. If you get your theology from a work of fiction, then there’s no discussing anything with them.
Sorry but Mr. LeHaye subscribed to some very fringe theology which is generally covered under the heading of premillennialism. There is no credible evidence of belief in this unbiblical heresy among any Christian churches prior to its invention around 1830 by John N Darby. Most Christians consider it to be a form of pseudo-Christianity in much the same category as Christian Science, the Jehovah’s Witness movement and the Mormons.
I’ve noticed that a lot of wonderful Rapture proponents have been taken in “mini-raptures” lately.
Jack Kelley, Ron Graham, Jack Kinsella and now LaHaye.
The fact that Billy Graham is still ticking and in near “perfect” health for his age (97). Maybe God is holding him steady until that call?

Bingo.
That’s a lovely and heartfelt eulogy by Mike Huckabee. I hope Huckabee is given a good and useful position in a Trump Administration. He’d make a wonderful Press Secretary, is great with words, and very quick on his feet. Just the qualities needed when going up against the Lamestream Media. He’d outfox them every time.

Even worse - I have a brother-in-law that gets his theology from bumper stickers.

Read into it sailor........

Sorry, I don’t knowingly talk to fools.
Joel C. Rosenberg:
“I will miss my friend, Dr. Tim LaHaye, who went home to be with the Lord this morning. Thrilled he is finally in heaven with his beloved Savior, but saddened he didn’t get his life long wish — to be raptured! First met him in 1992, I think, when Lynn was working for his wife, Beverly, at Concerned Women For America. Lynn ran CWA’s national conferences, and when she did we would move into the hotel for days. She and Bev and the team would work so hard, but Tim and I would have no role whatsoever — so we’d just hang out and talk about Bible prophecy and the future of Israel and the nations for hours on end. That began a sweet friendship that has lasted 24 years. Last time I saw him and Bev was in Dallas in December at a prophecy conference he was hosting. They were so excited we’d moved to Israel and so eager to hear what it’s like to live here as followers of Jesus. What a joy to catch up with them.
I will miss Tim’s kindness, encouragement and his infectious passion for the Lord, the Word, the Gospel, Biblical prophecy and Israel.
