President Barack Obama issued a vague statement of support to disgraced DNC Chairwoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz to help paper over the revealing leaks of elite Democrats’ emails that were published by Wikileaks Friday afternoon.
The leaks showed that Wasserman Schultz and her co-conspirators in the DNC worked to crown Hillary Clinton as the 2016 nominee amid a bruising primary battle against independent Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders.
“For the last eight years, Chairwoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz has had my back. This afternoon, I called her to let her know that I am grateful,” the president’s statement read:
Her leadership of the DNC has meant that we had someone who brought Democrats together not just for my re-election campaign, but for accomplishing the shared goals we have had for our country. Her critical role in supporting our economic recovery, our fights for social and civil justice and providing health care for all Americans will be a hallmark of her tenure as Party Chair. Her fundraising and organizing skills were matched only by her passion, her commitment and her warmth. And no one works harder for her constituents in Congress than Debbie Wasserman Schultz. I don’t think that I’ve ever seen any guy ever do that little curtsy (sp?) and head dip thing like he’s doing there before taking his picture. Women and girls, perhaps — men never.
What a mealy-mouthed moron he is to be so evasive and circular in his response to her being sacked. He is incapable of making declarative statements except if it’s to criticize or disparage political foes or enemies.
