The loss of Iran was a huge, huge event that has affected so many other events right up until today. The Iranians have been behind so many attacks against American personnel, including Khobar Towers and the Marine Barracks. They are still the largest state sponsor of terrorism in the world. How different it could have all been without Khomeini.
