Granddaughter is here. Today we will go to Delaware State Fair, best in the country but very hot.
Then tomorrow Massachusetts for only three days, then home.
Went to church after dropping off hoodlum dogs-more on them later. Haven’t had granddaughter with me in quite a while. SHE wants to be a Baptist but she knows those Catholic songs, yes she does.
So I introduced her to a few friends and of course, I say with pride but some reserve, I hear gasps.
That child is beautiful. Gorgeous. Drop dead with the most beautiful eyes of anyone on the planet.
But that might be hyperbole, you think? I told her she was beautiful but beauty outside does not make you pretty inside.
And she’s smart! This week folks, you should smile, she shall meet Matthew Fish....14 years old, political junkee, scholarship....straight A student. Heh. You think he might notice beautiful Kaitlyn Mae?
Another intriguing story that yon readers will understand.
Yesterday , when she came down, she’s watching TV. GUESS WHAT SHOW SHE WAS WATCHING?
It’s on TLC, it’s call “Secrets of the ER” or something. It’s drama about real events in a hospital ER.
THIS particular show was about, I am NOT making this up, MUNCHAUSSEN’S SYNDROME!
Kaitlyn is watching intently.
I asked her if she was aware what that show was about.
“Munchaussen”, she says softly.
I began to discuss, my bad. “I do NOT want to talk about this,” she said.
So I shut up.
But she kept on watching and what an amazing episode. The ER doc didn’t know what was going on with this woman who was talking about MRI’s, CT’s....medical stuff like and expert.
The ER Doc does some research and explains to the viewers that Munchaussen....well as follows “Munchaussen’s syndrome people need lots of drama in their life. They fake illness. The intentionally hurt themselves.”
The Munchaussen’s victim in the show is told that they will watch her for another hour as the ER doc did not know how to handle this odd situation. The actress playing the Munchaussen gets all excited that a bunch of medical people will be watching her.
“Munchaussen people love to have medical people observing them; they love the drama, the sympathy, being the center of attention.”
What the hell are the odds that this particular show would be on right when Kaitlyn turns on the television?
She watched raptly.
I watched too.
They had it right. Kaitlyn knows I wasn’t making it up when I was telling everyone about daughter’s Munchaussen.
This beautiful child has been totally abandoned by her mother. And sure, I cry softly every day because she’s gone from me....gone.
She’s also gone from that beautiful daughter. And while mental illness is one thing, I sure don’t need the GOVERNMENT getting involved in that stupid family court and custody.
Anyway....I’ll tell you about the Pokémon thing, in the Name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Ghost, my church is some kind of Pokémon gym so Kaitlyn tells me.
OH AND about the book.
The Fish people want the book so my very last copy of the book besides the one I will never give away, I am giving to them.
KAitlyn is reading the book, she loved my story of how I wrote it. There’s a whole lot of stuff Kaitlyn does not know, only recently she learned that her mother had a baby at age 14, that she has a 23 year old brother.
I’ve often thought of contacting that boy but dear Lord I don’t want him to find out his mother is a nut job.
Oh and the dogs.....
Oh, and stepdaughter called...”PLEASE GET ME A COPY OF THE BOOK. I WILL PAY FOR IT!”
Folks, having a beloved book is wonderful but they are stealing this thing, guilt-tripping me.....whew.
When I get back from Massachusetts things are going to change.
And then there are the dogs....
