Russia's New Conservative Allies in the US: The 'Alt-Right' Phenomenon
Russia-Insider ^ | 7/23/2016 | Vincent DeLarge

For those that have been paying attention, the rise of the Alt-Right is as surprising, as it is entirely expected

What is the Alt-Right?

If you listen to the mainstream media, the Alt-Right is the birth of an American far right Frankenstein that was mid-wifed by Donald Trump’s inflammatory rhetoric in this election cycle.

But what we are seeing now is bigger than even Donald Trump. It is part of a massive paradigm shift that has been underway for some time now. For those that have been paying attention, it is clear that nationalist, patriotic movements are everywhere ascendant in the West.

The endless migration of millions of 3rd world men into Europe, the callousness of the Elite class to the concern its Natives, and the fever-pitched identity politics of the Regressive Left have brought us to a crossroads… It should come as little surprise to nobody that the native populations of the West have started asking some hard questions about their own identity.

>I think Putin would rather be remembered as incompetent than be remembered as the weakling that you’re describing.

Are you just neo-con bot or what? Putin bad! Obama good! Hillary good, Trump bad! Am I doing it right?

Weakling?

Russia coming to the aid of Assad, enabling them to hold on to their country being attacked by Obama's brotherhood. Call that being a weakling.

Russia is becoming a free world leader, and Trump has spoken favorably of him.

Why all the hate?

No, I think that your theory about a strongman Obama pushing a weakling Putin around is ridiculous. The problem that you're running into is that a dictator like Putin must in the end accept responsibility for the economic and political outcomes that accompany his rule. You can't credibly cast Putin as a strongman who is being victimized by someone (in this case Obama) who you wish to cast as a relative weakling.

The better explanation is that Putin is just an incompetent dictator. He has had the power to diversify his country's economy, but he has been too shortsighted, too incompetent to recognize that necessity. Instead, he just convinced himself that the price of oil would never decline and could never collapse. Well, he was wrong and now he is ruling a country which (because of his incompetence) is sinking because of its total dependence on the price of oil. And, he has no power to prevent the collapse of that price.

But, he can still take off his shirt and pretend that he's a tough guy. And, he can still have his enemies murdered by his thugs. And, he can still provide missiles to drunken fools who can shoot down civilian aircraft full of innocent victims.

And, despite all of this manifest incompetence, there will still be screwballs who worship him.

I think you’re answering somebody besides me. I did not
mention Yeltsin. Putin *may well be an “incompetent”, but
that’s a problem for the Russians. I do suspect that
Hillary is an incompetent; no, Hillary IS an incompetent
playing at doing things that get people killed and then
shrieks, “AT THIS POINT, WHAT DIFFERENCE DOES IT MAKE!!”

BLOWJOB BILL can kiss TWINKIE’S ASS (Pedro the Donkey).
- Nope! Scratch that! Pedro says, “NOOOO-OOOO!”

No, you misunderstand. I am not the one who is trying to cast Putin as a weakling. My claim is that his failing economy is due to his incompetence.

I think, and many do, that the reverse is true.

His economy is not failing because he is not incompetent.

It's going through hard times as is most of the world.

Well, in fairness to you, there are some other failures. Venezuela is also failing for the same reason - a total dependence on the price of oil and a failure to permit the growth of a vibrant private sector.

See the graph in post 29. If you think that Putin is some kind of genius, you can explain why the Russian economy is tanking.

There are several speculations about the source of Lenin’s funding. However, the troubles of the Tsarist regime were somewhat of its own doing, in getting involved in a massive land war against a better prepared and more industrial Germany. World War I created a massive breakdown of the old order, and Lenin took advantage of the collapse, with the help of Trotsky and others. Had it not been Lenin, some other strongman would have taken over after the collapse of Tsarism. Unfortunately for Russia, the worst sort of tyranny replaced a more benign one.

>No, I think that your theory about a strongman Obama pushing a weakling Putin around is ridiculous.

Obama pushes one way, and Putin pushes back another. Obama grabs the Ukraine so Putin grabs the Crimea and beats the crap out the Ukrainian army to keep them out of NATO. Obama tries to overthrow Syria, so Russia bombs the rebels. It’s punch/counter punch with Russia clearly the weaker partner who continues to prevent Obama from achieving his goals.

Putin was actually quite happy to be sanctioned (less so on the oil prices) because he wanted to shift from free trade to protectionism in order to grow Russian industry. However, such a sift harms the economy in the short term and he couldn’t do it without pissing his voters off.

Russia’s not a dictatorship, more of a extended mob family running the state and lots of people are ready to take over if Putin becomes unpopular.

The US assisted the transition by playing the bad guy by giving Russia a reason to end free trade. Now for the first time in 15 years Russian industry in growing again and Russia is on the road to self sufficiency.

This new wave of Freepers have low attention spans and won’t make the effort to read articles. They want everything boiled down to twitter sized bits and spoon fed to them. You see them all the time complaining about expending the effort to click on a link to read an article at the same time expending a lot of clicks to write a complaint.

the vast majority of Russians are... wait for it... “not black inner city” and as a whole, they do not revere US-Cultural Minority-Inner City “values”.

Springing from the fall of communism... they have re embraced their “orthodox” christian values.
