Hah, Maybe we should be sending all those do-gooder Progressives to Russia and China so they can change the methods of food manufacture and processing. Know what, I have the perfect candidate for the job. Michelle Obama...

While it’s not quite that bad, our own food has been on a downward spiral for years. A lot of what passes for hamburger certainly doesn’t look or smell like it on a grill anymore. Meat in general has gotten a little odd in my opinion, unless you’re buying it straight from a butcher shop.

Ah yes communism gives government control a whole new meaning. It is cat and mouse. The government is too restrictive so producers find ways around it

The purpose of the Russian economy is to reward thieves and crooks. Everyone else is a victim.

Oh oh. There is a Russian shop where I go to buy food items, though I only buy chocolates from Russia. This article didn’t mention chocolate. But it has me wondering what I was actually eating.

Russia, like China, is what Francis Fukuyama called a ‘low trust’ society. And in a low trust society people aren’t trustworthy outside of their family or clan—and thus in most business, including the food sector.

There probably is a correlation between decades of imposed atheism and a lack of public morals. The chickens have come home to roost .
