Kinda like the Greatest Generation wasn’t so-called until Brokaw wrote that book in the 90s.

The fact that they turned out the way they did greatly increases the comfort level of those who are still deciding. Not to mention the contrast with the Clinton crime family.

Good points.

3) This was an unexpected bonus that will give the Libs a permanent case of indigestion.

I saw a photograph of Tiffany with her mother Marla Maples at the convention. Not sure how long Marla was there, but she was there for her daughters speech.

Agree with you: the term "Camelot" is over the top and not quite appropriate.

In fact, Camelot is a simply a code word for how politicians are supposed to look and make gestures.   It's a word that puts style over substance.

Romney and Obama are Camelot guys who care meticulously how they look and dress and nod their heads a way that says, "This is how it is, you peasants."

But Trump is a true man of the people.  He wants to take the royalty out of government and glorify the people.

Just like JFK Jr., Donald Jr. is a brilliant speaker

JFK Jr. was a brilliant speaker? What did he speak about, and where? I'm not finding much evidence online.

Let's not forget that the political fortunes of JFK Jr. didn't turn out so great ...

Yeah, I wondered what was going on with Baron. You’d think he’d at least be excited by the whole thing, the crowds, balloons, his dad possibly becoming President of the United States. But he seemed surly and even seemed to roll his eyes at one point. Maybe he was just tired, but it seemed a little odd.

*BRAVO* my old FRiend!! Well said!

As one Freeper put it (wish I remembered who) - “Trump’s just like me... but with a whole lot more money”

It wasn't me who said that, but I wish I had!

Have yourself a great weekend Brother Hale! :)

My guess...he has led a sheltered life with a very protective mother and is spoiled. Add to that his siblings telling stories that he himself maybe doesnt get to do with his dad...example...where are all the pics of barron on job sites at young age...

Again..this isn’t a diss...but I have been watching that kid..comes across as surly. He has to grow into his own person.

I thought the same thing. He looked the same way walking into the event - I’m thinking: “Hey, kid! Smile!” Nope. I think either he was tired or that’s just his personality.

Barron had many characteristics of autism. Pushing away touches. Not much expression or animation. Not much social interaction. Cute kid though.

And, BTW, their not being there was having “class”.

This.

I've noticed both of Trump's former wives have remained very low key this campaign, offering nothing in terms of dirt when hounded by the media.

Ivana was vacationing in St. Tropez during the convention. Marla Maples, however, was backstage in Cleveland supporting their daughter Tiffany during her speech.

“Honeymooned in NYC in November 1962 and saw Camelot on Broadway. Awesome.”

A welcome respite after that crazy October I’m sure.

I was born in the middle of it.

I hated the Kennedys and the entire Camelot thing was a PR stunt.

The Trumps are NOTHING like the Kennedys.

I don’t recall any “old school class” being demonstrated by any Kennedys. Lots of drunkenness, skirt-chasing, adultery, corruption, and much more vastly reminiscent (or predictive of) the Clintons), but NO class at all. The Kennedys were rich white trash.

Take away line:

“That is why Donald Trump’s children are as comfortable driving a D-9 Caterpillar as they are in their own car.”

You know that Eric and DJTJr have operated a D-9.
