Video has emerged appearing to show the gunman who shot dead at least nine people in Munich involved a furious argument with a witness, shouting “I am German!” and complaining of being bullied.

The shooter, who was found dead with a self-inflicted gunshot wound, was identified by German police as an 18-year-old with dual German and Iranian nationality. He had no criminal record.

In the footage, which was posted on Twitter, an unseen man can be heard shouting abuse at another man, who is clad all in black and pacing on the top floor of an empty car park.

That was in front of the McDonalds where he shot the victims. The parking garage seems to be after that. Seems the reality of what he has done is upon him and now comes the spiral down to his suicide.

I can tell you from family south of Munich at the Alps, they are incensed at the refugee thing and it appears he may have been lumped in with them because the tension is so very high. Merkel and the crap government now has this to account for by allowing the refugee herd. If not for the herd, this man may have never been subject to the level of scorn.

Yes, most probably the gun came from black market. Germany has the 4th largest gun ownership rate (legal) and a huge black market where you can obtain guns. Though the criteria to legally obtain guns is rather stringent, e.g. must be 18, no criminal record, and must go through psych and other tests.

There are a lot of people like him in Germany. And, that is nothing knew. I recall as far back as 1970s, though at that time they were mostly Turks, and the Germans most definitely didn’t like them. The situation obviously has got worse since then.

The politically correct will probably say the terrorist was just a poor kid being bullied. They will probably want to charge the ‘balcony guy’ talking to him with some kind of hate crime for’ causing him to commit suicide’

So his shouting “allah ackbar” is just coincidence?
The other flavor of insane Islam, the Shia want in on the game.

The allah ackbar part occurred earlier at the McDonalds where a witness heard him shouting it.

Shep Smith was convinced and reported it as such - “right wing - neo nazi, disgruntled white man - upset over German immigration policies”

I didn’t say it was coincidence. I said allah akbar was according to an eyewitness account, that’s what I read; but there was nothing in the recorded video exchange He might have done so, and the cops may find a link, be it an indirect one to an Islamist group, but so far it’s all speculation whether he was in fact linked to an Islamist group.

One foreign paper was questioning whether the guy that was filmed shooting in front of McDonald’s even resembled the guy on the rooftop

And remember “Ali” is an Arabic name, not a Persian/Farsi name.

His alias Selina Akim also is an Arabic name (although Selina actually has Greek roots).

Just a few thoughts while we are waiting (in vain I guess) to hear if he happened to be a Sunni muslim.

There is one motive that is perfectly clear: the collusion between governments and media to keep the truth from the public.

Daily Telegraph: "He was not known to police before the attack, he said, and used an unlicensed Glock pistol to kill his victims."

So, where did he get that "unlicensed" gun?

What difference does the “Islamist link” make?
These guys don’t have to have party membership cards. It’s far worse.
Any one of these “secular moderate Muslims” can suddenly flip and decide to get right with allay by a little spontaneous jihad. It makes the problem of fighting this almost impossible.

Where is the part when he shouts Allah Akbar?

This took place on the roof of a parking garage, not at the mall/McDonald's.

Actually, a lot of shia families name their son “Ali”, more so than Sunni families. But it’s such a common name in Iran, and not necessarily & solely used by ‘religious’ or practising families.

It’s his lastname that I’m wondering about. Sonboly is also Iranian, but could also be Afghan anda couple of others. Sonboly, however, is definitely not Turkish.

We also don’t know anything about his family in terms of how religious they were, etc..

But, nothing has been found so far about his connection with any Islamist group or any accomplices. Also he had no criminal record and so far no record of attending mosques or any other connection indirectly with an Islamist group. I presume German police is still investigating.

According the Obama administration apologists, terrorists always carry on their person ISIS I.D. cards and decoder ring.

No, and we probably won't be told either (by the usual suspects).

Can the surname be derived from Sonbol? Arabic with links to Egypt.

There are also at least two villages in Iran with the name Sonbol. And as you said it may aslo have Urdu roots.

It mostly makes a difference in term of whether he started to shoot at people because of some religious cause (as ISIS and most Jihadis have), OR he just flipped because he had mental, emotional or other problems, that weren’t connected to religion at all. The two are not always related.

Remember, Andres Behring went on a rampage in 2011 in Norway, killing 8 people by detonating a bomb in a van and shooting 69 people. Was he a “secular moderate muslim” or connected to any particular religion?

It doesn’t require any conne4ction with an Islamic Terrorist group for a killer to randomly murder. It only requires a belief.
