Hillary has a problem that Trump does not. No VP pick can upstage Trump, but lots of people can upstage Hillary.

That’s why she couldn’t pick Warren. They are both liars and look too much alike, Warren is more likeable and shows a lot more energy. In a couple of clips I could barely watch Hill just stood there nodding like a bobble head doll. Makes Hill look like the tired old lesbian she is.
I think this pick may also reveal that democrats admit they have a white problem, especially a white male problem. Trump can gain white democrat men easily. This might be an attempt to keep them in the democrat party.
