She chose based on electoral votes. Kaine brings nothing earth shattering. We know Clinton believes Virginia is ground zero with the electoral college. What do they have....about 14 EC votes? I don’t remember.In other words, she sees it as very, very close and MUST wrap up the Washington DC liberals.

This is easily neutralized though. Tie him to other corrupt VA Governors like current Terry McAuliffe ( a die-hard Clintonista and their former money man ) and Bob McDonnell ( whatever he allegedly did ). Kaine was a proven gift-taker and Trump will have a field day with this.
As for speaking spanish, surely Trump or his wife or one of his kids or Pence or someone high up in the campaign also speaks it. Many won't agree, but I think spanish language ads skewering the Clintons are vital, not just in VA, but everywhere. Something along these lines ...

The enemy built-in (D)emographic advantage is about 70 electoral votes and this Kaine development means that their bean counters are worried.
