Munich police are hunting for three gunmen who they believe have carried out attacks at three locations in the city.
On Twitter, the local forces said shootings had taken place at Hanauer Straße, then the Riesstraße, and also at the Olympia shopping center.
Lynn Stein, who works inside the Olympia centre, told CNN a woman told her "masked gunmen dressed in black" had been seen running through the centre.
The interior ministry confirming at least three killed.
Germany's Muencher Abendzeitung reported that the death toll was higher, with up to 15 people killed in the incident at the Olympia Einkaufszentrum shopping centre.
Police told another paper, the Sueddeutsche Zeitung, that there were multiple deaths.

The Quran says that there will be peace when all have submitted to Islam. Islam means submission. Mohamed wrote that it is better to kill, maim and create terror so as to make the conversion quicker and then it is not necessary to kill as many. This is a kindness.
However, Mohamed wrote all of this assuming that Islam would stay the same and he made no provision on who would lead it after he died. At his death the religion (war plan) fractured into Sunni and Shea and a few other sects that each believe that theirs is the only way and the others must convert or die.
I saw a cartoon that perfectly described the situation. It was called “The Last Muslim.” He was on his back holding swords in one foot and one hand and fighting himself with an expression of abject hate. Sums it up nicely.
To a Muslim, killing a non-Muslim is a requirement and a means of showing your religious piety. As several Imam’s have said, “Show me this moderate Muslim.”
