Shots have been fired in a Munich shopping centre and a major police operation is under way German media is reporting.
Reports say the area round the shopping centre in the district of Moosach has been sealed off, but details of the incident are sketchy.
The security forces have been on alert after a migrant stabbed five people on a train in Bavaria on Monday.
The authorities had warned of the danger of further attacks.

I was (am, inactive reserve) in the USAF and while I never got a chance to Visit Germany and Ramstein, my Unit in Topeka goes there quite often.
So I knew lots of my Fellow Airmen who went to Germany and spoke so highly of it :)
I wish I could have gone, but I did get to go to Guam with the Kansas ANG.

I can’t make out the background language very well. But the guy yelling is almost 100% lifelong Bavarian.
To my knowledge, my SIL is still “bunkered down” by the Polizei at Stachus. Good times. Wife and I decided not to go visit family in Munich area this summer because of risk of terrorism. Unfortunately, it looks like we were right.

Police tweeted the latest updates, saying they have given a “cautious” all-clear after identifying a suspect who has killed himself.
Thank you. I was reading a site with live updates, right in the beginning, and it definitely seemed as though there was shooting elsewhere.
Since German official policy is to lie about moslem crime, it’s hard to believe only one shooter, and he was a neo nazi who hated foreigners. If so, why did he not go find some foreigners to kill?
I assume that there was police gunfire too? How do they know perp killed himself and didn’t get shot by someone else?
