Anybody can say anything about anybody. It has no relation to what is true about the person they’re talking about.
It’s Logic 101. And people like the guy from CNN will forever be trying to say it smears the person it is said about, for their own nefarious purposes. Many of them are so stupid they believe it relates somehow to the truth just because someone says it, but most are just using the stupidity of the public to make the more stupid.
