Once he said he wasn’t going to endorse him he shouldn’t have let him speak. Primetime airtime is very valuable during the convention. Trump could have used that 30 minutes for someone who did business with him, or charities he helped, or middle class workers who worked for him, etc.

Cruz intended to dump his you know what in Trump’s convention punch bowl regardless. Without a speaking slot Cruz would have gone to Cleveland as a wronged martyr and smeared Trump to the TX delegation on the day of Trump’s big speech. The problem here is Cruz and not Trump. But as a former Cruz supporter you just won’t admit it.
