Thanking his volunteers in Cleveland a day after the Republican National Convention wrapped, GOP presidential nominee Donald Trump today slammed Ted Cruz's Wednesday night speech and said he “will not accept” if the Texas senator ever decides to endorse him.

"He'll come and endorse over the next little while. It's because he has no choice," Trump said. "But I don't want his endorsement. What difference does it make?"

"Ted, just stay home, relax, enjoy yourself," Trump.

It is convenient that Cruz (Mr. Constitution) not releasing his citizenship verification documentation does not violate his principles.

You know, Trump being Trump hasn’t hurt him too badly so far. And Trump not listening to the “political experts” like those around here doesn’t seem to have hurt him too badly either.

Trump in his largess gave Cruz the mike. Cruz deserves to get a slap down from Trump. Trump can do that an easily while keeping “his eye on the ball.” He’s beaten 16 other candidates doing the same thing without taking his eye off the ball.

I’m a big Trump fan but getting off on another Cruz obsession plays right into the libs hands. But Trump is what he is. If he loses the election it’ll be him that loses it. He has all hit all the right messages, Hillary Clinton is a disaster as a candidate, but Trump has got to quit kicking himself in rear every time he does something good. Last night he gave a great speech, the convention went great. But this morning he goes off on a Cruz tangent again. And once again, that’s all in the hell the networks are taking about, even Fox News.

If both would have concentrated on campaigning against the Hildabeast instead trashing each other, they wouldn’t be in the situation they’re in today. Now we still have those who won’t vote for Trump because they don’t like him which is a vote for the Hildabeast. I would’ve taken any of the Republican candidates over Hildabeast...

That was also a shot over the bow to the elite snob hold-outs.

If it looks like Trump might actually win by mid to late October, those snobs would be trying to sidle back in to the good graces of the potential president. Those snobs like to be close to power.

Trump hinted, no shouted, ‘get lost’.

I don’t think Trump has to worry about it because I don’t think Cruz would ever change his position and endorse him. He’s just that arrogant.

Gingrich was pure brilliance at the convention. I’ve done my share of Newt criticizing, but I was starstruck by how excellently he handled Cruz. Score one for Newt—a BIG one.

Poor kid. “I’m just here doing my job.”

Yeah, reading off a list of questions designed to further the approved narrative.

Likely, the kid didn’t even write the questions. Rather some staffer handed him the list and told him not to veer from it.

“Trump needs to never mention this piss ant again.”

Agreed! Last time I will use this tagline. Too much time has been wasted on that dysfunctional, bizzare, unblessed political belch.

Trump needs to stop bringing Ted Cruz into the equation, because (1) it cheapens Trump’s message; (2) it is a distraction; and (3) it is becoming unseemly.

Cruz has already been destroyed, by himself and by Trump. Kicking the carcass just seems crass, and comes off as bitter.

Rise above it, Trump. You have won the nomination. Be the champion you introduced last night. We are with you as the battle is joined, and we will work with you to achieve victory.

Cruz was spreading this poor me and my wife and dad garbage and many of my Cruzbot friends were buying it. I am glad he addressed it and told the truth about how ridiculous it was for Cruz to justify his non endorsement.

Tired of our candidates not fighting back. This will be the last we will hear of Cruz I am sure. He is toast.

“OMG!!! Trump, PLEASE let this be over! Cruz hung himself. Shut up about the stupid Primary stuff. You won! It’s over!!!”

Yup. Time to fight the coming battle, not an old won that is over.

‘I don’t think Trump has to worry about it because I don’t think Cruz would ever change his position and endorse him. He’s just that arrogant.’

Cruz said he might endorse Trump later. Trump just took that option off the table. Cruz had a chance and blew it to smithereens. As someone said, this is an object lesson to other GOP holdouts. Endorse while you still can; the window is not open indefinitely.
