Thanking his volunteers in Cleveland a day after the Republican National Convention wrapped, GOP presidential nominee Donald Trump today slammed Ted Cruz's Wednesday night speech and said he “will not accept” if the Texas senator ever decides to endorse him.

"He'll come and endorse over the next little while. It's because he has no choice," Trump said. "But I don't want his endorsement. What difference does it make?"

"Ted, just stay home, relax, enjoy yourself," Trump.

Ted's supporters comprised 25% of the convention delegates. Despite what his mouthpieces say, he does need their enthusiastic support.

Donald should extend a meaningful fig leaf to Cruz and move on.

Sulking makes one ineffective and distracted from engaging the battle with the real enemy.

FReegards!

Slightly off topic, but speaking of Cruz. Did you see the comment, ‘Cruz forgot to scream, “allah Akbar!” before blowing himself up,’?

Best short commentary to date, imo.

‘Sulking makes one ineffective and distracted from engaging the battle with the real enemy.’

This comment refers to Cruz, I take it?

Cruz has nowhere to go.

He embarrassed his state. He embarrassed the Senate (which is pretty hard to do anymore). He embarrassed his party.

Ted thought he'd come out looking like Reagan but he's closer to Jim Traficant.

Why does this even matter?

It doesn't, except to the the extent that it appears Trump is excusing whatever Cruz supporters may remain from any expectation that they should support him (Trump) in the general election.

I'm not sure that's a wise move in what is likely to be a close contest in November.

Rogue against both establishments. Let’s see if Ryan is renominated. Rogue in going after Bernie supporters. This is just a taste.

Cruz did agree to endorse Trump at the convention. He submitted a speech for vetting that endorsed Trump. Then true to his sneaky, deceitful pattern, he substituted a MUCH longer speech which omitted the endorsement.

As a result, Cruz supporters are turning on him in droves. The few that remain actually approve of lying and deceit. Not much point in catering to them; they live in a world of their own.

I’m a big Trump fan but getting off on another Cruz obsession plays right into the libs hands.

If Trump followed all the advice that was offered here we would be having a Bush-Hillary race.

Trump wanted to set the record straight from Cruz's lies and omissions yesterday morning when he spoke to the TX delegates.

Cruz doesn't get to keep lying and let it go unanswered.

It can be rejected but not undone. If they guy says he supports you are you going to call him a liar? My quibble is with the English here and the effect of words. You can repudiate all you want but only the one who says I support you can undo it.

Amusing, isn’t it? All of these `peacemakers’ urging Trump to move on, to once again offer Cruz his hand: “Let’s not bicker and argue over who stabbed who in the back. This is supposed to be a happy occasion! But it’s not for us “true conservatives. Sigh.”

“Ahem, nothing to see here, at least since yesterday when Cruz doubled-down on his “Vote your conscience!” nod to Hillary.

(Clearing throat)

“So let’s all be friends! Let Trump again abase himself before Cruz, the relentless, embittered, slithering Energizer attack bunny and, um, let’s all just move along.”

“At least, until the, uh, next Cruz torpedo attack, at which time we will repeat our demand that Trump once again offer an olive branch, rinse, repeat.”

It’s something like dealing with muslims.

I’m not opening any of the threads about the mainstream media and their hateful rhetoric. They’re weeds that have infected my nice little garden. Eff yahoo and their hateful headlines that I have to ignore when I access my email. May they reap their rewards from Almighty God for their litany of lies. I’m not listening to Jon Stewart or any of the late night talk show hosts, daily news casts, even local news. Bias, bias, bias. But truthfully, if somebody paid me five million dollars to read the nightly news, I’d probably lie too, I’d say anything to keep favor with the international globalists who want to keep the status quo going. Media whores.

Cruz’s speech at the convention was MUCH TOO LONG for someone of his status. He just droned on and on. He’s in love with the sound of his own sour voice.

This country’s problems are bigger than Ted Cruz! He is just a speck of dust, and Trump needs to focus on the big picture.

I love him, and I will vote for him. I believe he is capable of being a great President. But Donald Trump is his own worst enemy.

This week was a huge success. He has a tendency to step all over his own good press stories. As a politician you learn, when things are going your way, just step aside and enjoy it.

Any endorsement can be rejected. Rejected means rejected. The only people arguing about how many angels can dance on the head of a pin are Cruz supporters. Splitting hairs to a ridiculous degree is all they have left.

Btw, I wish I had a dollar for every time a Cruz supporter said, ‘’Trump isn’t the nominee yet. Cruz will support him when he’s the nominee.’ I’d buy an annuity.
