To be fair, Ford (or his surrogates) didn’t slander Reagan’s wife and father. I’ll vote for Trump, the alternative being a criminal, but those attacks were ugly and puerile, and very unpresidential.

I am not happy with Cruz. I understand how he feels from the unjustified attacks on him and his family, but he would have been much better served keeping his word. Reagan did what he needed to do. I hope Cruz does as well. I am also tired of seeing every little thing blown into something bigger.

They were extremely ugly attacks and completely uncalled for. However, Cruz could simply have said that he was not interested in attending or speaking at the convention. By going, but then not playing ball, he made an ass of himself, if not a servile puppy.

Nossir. They refer to Reagan, and erroneously state Reagan never campaigned for Ford. Even the so-called Reagan Expert, Craig Shirley, jumped in with an incorrect assessment.
