Interesting enough - but there are some people who call themselves conservatives who are full of admiration for what Ted Cruz did. A lot of them may be keeping their heads down right now, but they are there.

One who has come out publically in defense of Cruz is the New York Times house “conservative” Ross Doughthat, who writes that Cruz selflessly stood up for his principles and performed “an act of political courage” - even though he knew there would be no benefit to himself.

Wait for it - the liberal press, joined by the Trump-haters, is getting ready to sanctify Cruz and make him into a martyr for his principles.

What principles was Ted standing up for in these people's minds. I have no idea what Ted has his panties all in a twist for. What exactly does Trump stand for in his mind, that he wouldn't offer his support to the nominee of the party?

Hannity pointed out that the Republican platform is the most conservative platform put together in a long time. So where's the beef? If you thought that Trump was so dangerous at some point during the campaign why didn't you tear up your pledge shortly after you realized it? Why did you let it go all the way to your speech and then say your signed deal to support the party nominee is in no way binding? Because of what was said about your wife and father? Really? You would let Clinton win because the guy supposedly dissed your family?

I can see why you didn't tear up the pledge. As a typical politician you thought you were going to win this and you wanted to be able hold the pledge over the rest of the field. Then by the time you realized you were going to lose it was too late you were stuck with the pledge on yourself.

Are you that thin skinned that when something is said about your wife and father you can never recover from that? No one was asking you to be buddy buddy with Trump, no one was asking you to campaign for him. All you had to say is I support him to be the next President of the United States. Boom done. You don't have to agree with everything they guy says or does. No one was asking you to.

Who is advising this guy? The lack of judgement is incredible.
