Mike Huckabee: ‘Trump Trusted Ted and Was Rewarded with a Betrayal’
Breitbart ^ | 21 Jul 2016 | Alex Swoyer

Former 2016 GOP presidential candidate Mike Huckabee says fellow former candidate Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) betrayed Republican nominee Donald Trump last night at the Republican National Convention.

Cruz opted not to endorse Trump after he vowed — as the other candidates had — to support the eventual nominee.

You can control the Teleprompter but no one could control his mouth. I heard he was allotted 9 minutes and took over 20. That could not be if he gave the vetted speech.

I don’t think Pence was dampened...I think it was planned that way to show why Trump never wanted Cruz to begin with, after watching Lying, Crying Ted and then watching Mike Pence, people got to see the brightness, loyal, and experience of a Vice President that will work along side of President Trump to Make America Great Again...

That is why Trump didn’t stop Ted, he gave him the rope and bingo, he hung himself all by himself, and because of himself...

GO.TRUMP/PENCE.GO!!! ALL THE WAY TO THE WHITE HOUSE!!!

Cruz’s speech was vetted...

Cruz went waaay over his allotted time. Seems to me he went rogue.

Cruz screwed over Pence, not Trump.

He should have spoken on Tuesday, not Wednesday.

HA! Trump insulted Cruz’s wife and his father. Do you mean to tell me that Cruz must then turn around and endorse Trump?

My point was all attention should have been on Pence but you are correct the contrast was breath taking!

The facts agree with me.

Huck is just another Dummacrat that ran as an “R” cuz there was no room for him on the “D” ballot.

He wants to create division. Cruz made it clear that he was voting Trump.

Cruz didn’t just betray Trump, but he betrayed his party, and even more importantly he betrayed his country.

I believe that Trump was gracious and magnanimous in letting Cruz speak on Wednesday night in prime time without Cruz endorsing Trump's candidacy. As Huckabee had said, this had not been seen before.

No other politician would have done that. I believe Trump is not your typical politician. He is guided by patriotism and wants to make America great. I also believe he wants to work with Cruz but feels he can't trust him.

As others have said, Cruz thinks only of himself. He is already beginning his presidential run for 2020. He wants Clinton to win and Trump to lose badly because he believes that will help him in 2020.

.
False attacks on Cruz are not doing any good for Trump’s electability.

It is time to put away the bitter attack.

Neither you nor I know what agreement/disagreement transpired between Cruz and Trump in their last meeting.

A candidate cannot win a general election with his so-called supporters creating strife among the electorate. Its time to knock it off.
