Dems: 'We're Panicked'
www.washingtonexaminer.com ^ | 07-21-2016 | Paul Bedard

With start of the Democratic National Convention just three days away, Democratic groups are expressing dismay that Hillary Rodham Clinton is neck and neck with Donald Trump in the polls.

"Were PANICKED, friends," said an email shot from the Democratic Governors Association.

The group and other Clinton supporters are concerned about the polls and the new analysis by numbers guru Nate Silver showing Clinton's lead down to three points.

The RealClearPolitics average is even worse. Today's analysis has Clinton's lead at 2.8 points.

"This is not good," said the DGA fundraising email.

Their note:

We're PANICKED, Friends:

Nate Silver just confirmed that Donald Trump could be our next president – and polls show him within single digits in key swing states (Pennsylvania, Ohio, Florida). Meanwhile, 92,038 people still haven't activated their DGA memberships to help increase Democratic turnout across the country.

This is NOT good. If we lose these swing states, Donald Trump becomes president and Republicans will defund Planned Parenthood, slash Social Security and deport millions of families. We can only win if we know NOW that top Dems like you are committed to fighting.

And the people like Trump’s kids a whole hell of a lot more than they like Chelsea.

The democrats at their convention will just whine and screech and blame everyone else for the very bad policies they have enacted and call for abolishing the 2nd amendment and needing to tax people more. They will bring out one liar after another and in the end introduce a traitor and a thief as their presidential nominee.

In short nothing positive.

The democratic party must not simply lose this election. They must be utterly destroyed. The only healing this country will have is when common people come to their senses and see the evil perpetuated by democrats across the country.
Republicans aren’t much better, but there are a few who care about the common man. their party needs serious housecleaning.
Where’s the damn term limits?

You need to remember that no Republican candidate in my memory has called for a reduction Social insecurity benefits, but that has not stopped the Democrats from saying and running on a platform of “(So & So) has said he will slash social security. To the bone.”
Usually works because the average Democrat voter is dumber than rocks along with a certain percentage of Independents and Republicans.

I will never forget working the polls in Lakewood, CO back in 2000. An elderly, obviously ill woman was helped into the polling place by GOTV campaign workers. She must have said, she was there to “save her SS benefits from George Bush” at least four or five times.

George Bush????

"SPOTTED IT" . . . I get it. But I thought that Huma would do all her pooping . . . Isn't Hitlery a queen who doesn't have to do stuff like that?

It gives you an insight into what we’ll be hearing at their convention - lots of scare mongering to specific demographics; women, gays, Hispanic, etc. We should use that to our advantage, preempt them, laugh at them now and dare them to bring up such things, mock them. Then they’re in the position of proving us right or deciding to drop such rhetoric, win-win for us.

I have a diverse set of FB friends, only one of them has hinted at supporting Hillary. I’ve a couple of family liberals that will vote Dem like zombies but most of the Dems wanted Bernie and have openly called Hillary a liar and said they’d *never* vote for such a person. Many that are usually quiet politically called her out, she is not liked or trusted. Some may not “like” Trump but they don’t think he’s the weasel she is. He at least loves his country and says many things that resonate across party lines. Michigan may go red, between manufacturing and guns Trump is closer to them. I bet Hillary will go on about gun control.

Frankly, I don’t get the polls. I think they’re doing their utmost to skew them, which is why they might be panicking - they’re really behind and they know it, even if they’re trying to use them as a tool to fool everyone else...it’s not working like it “should” be.

Trump must win clearly by 10 or better. If it's close, it can be stolen.

Absolutely. We cannot take anything for granted. If the polls show Trump ahead by ten points, we must continue to fight as though he's ten points behind. We must fight for every vote right up until the polls close on election day. The Democrats will unleash every dirty trick in the book. Each time they hit us, we must hit back twice as hard. Don't let up for a single moment. It's better to fight hard and win easily than it would be to assume everything's under control, only to find out afterwards that we made a grave miscalculation.

I watched the C-SPAN call-in show after the convention last night.

It was one life-long Democrat after another, saying they were going to vote for Trump.

My sister, a life-long Democrat who favored Bernie, now favors Trump.

I imagine that internal Democrat polls are seeing this too - hence the panic. Down ticket too, I’d imagine.
