BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - According to an email sent by the reported alias of the Baton Rouge police shooter, Gavin Eugene Long, the Alton Sterling shooting may have been on his mind just days before the tragedy.
Dr. Boyce Watkins of the Black Business School received an email from Long on Monday, July 11 at 10:31 p.m., just one day before the Louisiana State Police says Long rented the car he drove from Kansas City, Missouri to Baton Rouge. Watkins says he did not read the email until after after Sunday's police ambush shooting took place, but had he read it, he would've told Long, "Put your gun down. No one has to die."
Watkins says that he did not know Long personally, but that he was enrolled in one of his online classes. Watkins created at least two YouTube videos in which he talked about the email he received from Long.
Well if the Alton shooting forced to homicide, it’s almost self-defense, eh?

That’s easily verifiable.
Agree. Had he know he’d be criminally liable. Certainly could be sued as well. The KKK church case comes to mind.
How? The email doesn’t seem to give any hint that he was going to go on a shooting spree, from what I saw.
