If I was an athlete, I would not be going to Rio.

Wonder if the former Gitmo detainee released by Obama and has disappeared from Uruguay is in on this.

Brazilian police

That's a LOT of police.

A million would have sufficed.

“A court in Parana said there were indications the group was planning to use weapons to launch attacks similar to the Paris atrocities in November last year.”

It’s the trucks, stupid!

We should be hunting ISIS in America. No bag limit. Reward for most tags in a day.

President Michel Temer has called an emergency cabinet meeting and Justice Minister Alexandre de Moraes said the operation spanned nine states across Brazil, although the arrests were made in the southern states of Sao Paulo and Parana.

Foz do Iguacu, in the region known was Tres Froneras, in the Brazilian state of Paraná, where the borders of Argentina, Paraguay and Brazil meet had a very large Muslim population 20 years ago. I can only imagine how it is now. Since all 3 countries are part of the Mercosul "free trade" agreement and people were more or less free to wander around between the 3 counties. Border controls were negligible. A great place to hide, a great place to smuggle anything.

There's a saying in Paraná - "temos dois problemas no sul do Brasil, muçulmanos e mosquitos" - "There are two problems in southern Brazil, Muslims and Mosquitoes." I got the impression they could live with the bugs.

Let’s take a moment to remember 1972, shall we?

10?

Lol, didn’t they forget how big Rio is?

They likely have 200 people with better cover.

Gosh, it would be totally awful if the Brazilian police arrested those BLM turkeys that flew down there, beat them, and threw them in a hundred-foot (that’s 30 and a half meters) hole with the rats and the spiders for the duration of the Olympics. Totally. Awful.

A couple of thoughts:

1) Wasn’t in Brazil that #43 had to grab his personal SS bodyguard by the collar to get him through ‘security?’ - It was thought that it was a prelude to and assassination attempt...

2) Formula 1 had a few issues in Brazil two years ago, and bad dudes tried to kidnap (very unsuccessfully) a driver. The Brazilian GP is Nov 11-13.

I do not have any beliefs that things will go well in Brazil...Here’s to hoping I am incorrect!

Have they found the Gitmo Graduate of Terror, released by Obama, who said he was going to Brazil for the Olympics.
