The Daily Wires Ben Shapiro has an interesting alternative theory about Ted Cruzs speech to the Republican National Convention on Wednesday night: the Donald Trump campaign orchestrated the boos. Cruz camp confirms: Trump approved speech; Cruz was negotiating to help Trump w/ platform;

Shapiros source: the Cruz campaign.
Late Wednesday night, a source within the Cruz team informed Daily Wire exclusively that the Trump campaign had sandbagged Senator Ted Cruz (R-TX) over his speech at the Republican National Convention. Cruz spoke at the RNC, where he congratulated Trump on his campaign victory, then spoke about the necessity for freedom and finally stated that Americans should vote your conscience. He was met with resounding boos on the floor of the convention; his wife Heidi had to be rushed from the room; according to reports, one Republican delegate physically accosted Cruz, and Republican megadonor Sheldon Adelson refused to meet with Cruz.According to the source, the entire Cruz speech was cleared by the Trump campaign. Paul Manafort, Trumps campaign manager, expressly approved the speech at 4:30 PM ET. The source, who was standing on the convention floor at the time of the speech, said that Trump operatives were present, urging the crowd to boo. This was orchestrated by the Trump campaign to make Senator Cruz a pariah within the party, said the source.

Right, Shapiro. The NY delegation was front & center. No one needed to orchestrate anything.
“...his wife Heidi had to be rushed from the room;..”
“had to be,” - I don’t think so - Her leaving was captured on video and no one was even looking at her as she left with the Virginian turncoat..
He may not have orchestrated the boos, but he most undoubtedly handed Cruz his rope and then came out later to watch the spectacle.
Yes. This is the line all the Cruz Crazies are parroting today, led by Levin. Levin is a cerifiable lunatic who’s out leading the chorus that Trump orchestrated the boos and set this whole thing up.
Ben Shapiro is a light-weight.
I agree...he hung himself and continued to do so today.
I get his twitter feed. He’s a little twerp who is continually outing himself as the King of the Cucks. Breitbart was spared by his white-knighting for that lying female reporting.
I agree and it was a master stroke by DJT.
Cruz had no idea what was coming. hahahaha
Just proving (if even true) that cruz was not the smartest guy in the room after all.
This “set up” is easily diffused by AT LEAST explicitly supporting the ticket.
This is so weak and embarrassing for the author and all who hold this view.
So Ted wanted to hang himself and Trump gave him the rope...
They weren’t boos.
They were saying CRUUUUUUUUZ.
/S
Though many years apart, we went to the same public grade School... Dull middle class white neighborhood. No gangs. Shapiro getting beat up in school. Not likely.
I don’t think this is right—Trump couldn’t have been the one to set this up— he didn’t need to—his supporters in the New York delegation did it for him.
Great summation of the end of a career.
Trump scheduled it to happen in prime time.
Actually, during the speech, close to the end, I mentioned to my husband that the crowd was beginning to make some sort of noise. It was low, like everyone was murmurring or something. But, I was wondering what was going on with the crowd while he was speaking. They were getting riled up well before he finished his speech.
Ben, Ben, Ben, you are smarter than that. What happened to you?
Cruz chose his path. No one else, but Ted Cruz.
Seriously? That's like blaming the gun for the shooters murder spree. Cruz did all this himself.

I’m not buying the NeverTrump Shapiro’s spin. AND EVEN IF it were true, how does it excuse what Cruz said/did? There is absolutely no excuse for Cruz last night.
Any one calls him/herself conservative and/or his past supporters must have only one question - W H Y ???!!!!??
Yes, after last night I am thinking that "The Donald" is quite the chess player. He also seems to be able to "read" people very well. He picked up on Cruz's "deficits", waited, and at the right moment, gave him the opportunity to ruin himself.
