Unfortunately trump could’ve stopped this by not giving him a platform. Now the media are on cloud on a dream boat sailing into insanity along with Ted Cruz! Why Mr. Trump why did you ever let him speak!!

Its all good... Ted is oblivious to what just happened.

He’s living in his own dream world - and America is having none of it.

I think trump did the right thing. He seems magnanimous in victory and let Cruz destroy himself

Cruz really thinks he is the second coming of Reagan.

WOW, that means he is certified delusional. Reagan had support, Cruz doesn't - he's an absolute Perot or Judas - all about him just like Hillary.

There are some very childish personalities in the party that need to be shown the door (i.e., Kacich, Jeb and Cruz). We’re sick and tired of their tantrums.

Flipped it on CNN. The only one who defended Cruz is his girlfriend Amanda Carpenter.

Ana who hates Trump said it right. Cruz came to Donald’s party, ate the food, drank the wine, then pissed on the carpet.

Foreign immigrant Cruz back-stabbed America last night just as his fellow 80 million 3rd world immigrants will by voting for Hillary. It's immigrants who have ruined the USA as they did in California. If only Americans born here were voting Trump would be 20 points ahead right now. immigrants are the enemy as are the illegals

His inner circle, wife, etc need to get him help.

His wife is employed by Goldman Sachs to help craft a desired North American Union. To the tune of two million dollars every three years.

Heidi isn't going to do a one hundred eighty degree reversal and become a cure to Ted's journey into far left politics. She will remain one of the causes.

My guess is that most of the senate republicans are happy to see Ted crash and burn. They don’t like him either.

Many defend Cruz by claiming that Reagan did not "endorse" Ford at the 1976 convention.

While the word "endorse" was not used by Reagan, FReepers should judge for themselves - by both reading and viewing the Reagan 1976 speech - whether or not Reagan's words and actions constituted an "endorsement" of Ford's election in the 1976 presidential election.

Below are links to the text and a complete video.

TEXT

VIDEO

Please note the following excerpts from the end of that speech:
"Will they look back with appreciation and say, "Thank God for those people in 1976 who headed off that loss of freedom, who kept us now 100 years later free, who kept our world from nuclear destruction"?"

"We must go forth from here united, determined that what a great general said a few years ago is true: There is no substitute for victory, Mr. President {Ford}."

Reagan telling Republicans to 'go forth united for victory in 1976' is a hell of a lot more then Cruz telling them to 'vote their conscience' with no call for unity.

And also ask yourselves what message Reagan's actions, with Ford both before and after that speech, conveyed to Reagan supporters. Note that, at the end of his speech, Reagan even put his arm around Ford while they were shaking hands.

Cruz thought he would have his "Reagan Moment" with his 2016 convention speech, but I think his his weaselly egotism made it his "Swan Song."

He pretended that he was going to endorse until the end.

**************

And now he can pretend that he has a political future.

I think you’re right. I’ve talked to die-hard Cruz supporters and last night really turned them off. The word most used was ‘disappointed’ and ‘not right’.

Did anyone catch John Sununu on FBN last night?

I did! Posted on the FR Convention thread in the middle of the night! Lou Dobbs agreed whole heartedly.
