The good news is that very few of us are old enough to remember who George Wallace was.
Yet, this was not a racist speech in any fashion - in fact he said he would lift those who were oppressed up... not George Wallace and not Adolf Hitler. Such typical media ignorance.
And kids aren’t taught history any more. :-(
