In a way, yes, Jefferson DID "invent" Freedom of religion, in his letter to the elders of the Danbury, Ct. Baptist Church. In said letter, which most people don't know about and completely misuse the phrase: "SEPARATION OF CHURCH AND STATE", which is in it, Jefferson pledges that this nation will NEVER have a national religion, which most European and the UK had at that time.

I'm going to start charging other posters for these history lessons soon!

This speech showed all the squishy RINOs and CINOs what they have been missing all these years. The Bushes, McVain, Romney, et al. have just been swept aside into the dustbin of politics. At last We the People have a real leader, who STANDS WITH US. Historic, indeed!!

I'm watching CNN now, and Don Lemon keeps steering the conversation back to his #1 topic: The LGBTQ issue. They're going on and on and on about it. Enough!

Now they're ganging up on the Trump supporter woman, calling her hateful because she supports traditional marriage. TV going off soon...

After I turned Levin off, I switched to Medved on the other local talk station. His spin is that Cruz’s congratulation of Trump at the beginning of his speech was the endorsement everyone was waiting for. He’s mystified that people wanted more.

Medved also found nothing wrong with Cruz telling GOP delegates to vote according to their conscience...

I don’t agree with Medved on that one...Cruz was saying that it was OK for conservatives to vote for Hillary...That is not an appropriate thing to say at the convention...

Surprised these two clowns still have an audience (or show) considering most of their audience (Truckers) more than likely are backing Trump. I have noticed that they are not on as many stations as they were in the past.

Rachel Madcow on MSNBC now (taped earlier) with her band of despicable leftists. They look a bit worried, but are rejoicing at what they think is the impending demise of Fox News because Roger Ailes was forced out.

Of course, you ‘re right to say he stood up for America being independent from other governments. However, he is unable to think on a deeper level, such as what you added: the word “sovreign”. He sees countries who “cheat” as needing to be called to task, like a good father. The real probkem he did not mention is that a communist dictatorship is not bound by laws, and we should never have opened the door to them on that principle, as we did in the Cold War with Russia, Cuba, China, etc.

My kiddo has relegated me to the outside, when we visit, but her backyard and patio are lovey, so it’s not toooo bad. Their house, their rules; my house, MY rules, though I do try to not smoke much when the Grand is around. LOL

What a great speech! I was very proud of him and so relieved that we the people finally have a voice. He had a great mixture of what is wrong now and how he wants to correct the ship. The elite media can complain all they want. I found the speech inspiring, and I have more hope in the future of the nation now than I have had in a long time.

That is exactly what I was thinking every time he showed up onscreen tonight, when Fox was showing the family in the stands and later when they were onstage. He looks like a smaller, younger version of Donald. That is a great picture of them too.

OK, now I’m more confident than ever that Trump will win... I’m watching MSNBC and Chris Matthews looks very, very worried... ;-)

They should be - this is the first time in their life they are seeing a real strong leader.

Even Reagan wasn't nowhere near this intense.

Nobody has seen this before. Trump is a tour de force and it is obvious.

This heart felt speech was 30 years in the making.

We've seen him use a teleprompter earlier and couple times in the primary- he using it tonight but I bet you didn't notice - this guy learns incredibly quick.

Trump understands Power, Money and Desire and the psychology of the loser of the left and the pimps of punditry, and how to use them at just the right time.

Thank God he also loves America - look at his family he has a young son - he has skin in the game.

Yeah, Chris Matthew felt something on his leg this time running down rather than up.

Folks this is guy we have been waiting for - its time to believe. If you had any doubt look, at the end the process with what you know now, what do you think of Trump versus (Cruz, Bush, Rubio, Levin, Shapiro, Beck, Hewitt, Will, Krauthammer, Kristorl, Matalin, Limbaugh).

Go DJT I am so proud of you thank you for making U.S wake up and start the process of making America Great Again.
