No he was not a life long democrat. He was a Democrat only for the Duration of Bush, 8 years 2001-2009, likely as a protest. He has been GOP or Independent, since the 70s.
Why does Trump have Democrats writing his speeches?
Two of his kids missed the deadline to Register GOP for the NY Primary. Its an untruth to claim his kids are all registered democrats. And you have no knowledge of their current registration now.
He hires by talent and many Democrats support the America First platform.
