Newt did not. He said exactly what Cruz said. Not the author of this post, who cut out the most important part. At least Newt was listening.
But we know Cruz was not referring to Trump when he said we should vote our conscience.
I’ll take this a step further. I think we are seeing the beginning of our fourth family dynasty. Adams, Kennedy, Bush, those are all in the past now. Trump’s children will be succeeding him in the decades to come.

Newt said what he thought Cruz meant, not what he said. Or, in other words, Newt endorsed Trump for Cruz.
Even if that is the case, as Newt just said, he is a Harvard lawyer.
