It looks like the Trump kids are closing the deal for their dad. Frank Luntz has said he has never seen a focus group react like this.

“It looks like the Trump kids are closing the deal for their dad. Frank Luntz has said he has never seen a focus group react like this”

I think it was on the Fox panel last night where someone said, if your family has a billion dollars and you grow up normal, your family is doing something right.

Is this the same Frank Luntz who’s other “focus” groups all indicated Trump was going to crash, time and time again?

Their mother deserves more credit than she gets. They did live with her after all.

When asked at the end if anyone changed their minds the answers were no. About half the undecideds hated Trump.

Sorry, I can’t take Frank Luntz seriously. It appears, here, he’s just sucking up and looking for business.

I haven’t watched much, because basically, I think most political stuff is utter pap. That said, I was extremely impressed by Jr. Probably the surprise of the convention. This could be his springboard into politics, should he care to sully himself.

Trump really should incorporate much of what Jr. talked about....there will be 10-15 million or so available votes watching tomorrow night. I fully expect Pense do do very well tonight...JR, Pense, Ivanka then Trump. Nice way to line it up for the kill shot speech. Looks like Trump knows how to run a convention after all.

I totally agree Trump Jr is super impressive. I watched a YouTube video of him many months ago and I was immediately won over. I showed it to all my friends and family.

But I don’t agree with the focus group commentor’s lament “if only the father could be more like the son, etc.

Let’s not forget that DT Jr, as articulate, genuine, charismatic and spot on as he is, hasn’t yet come anywhere close to matching his father’s success - either in business or in politics. Maybe he will, who knows, but for now let’s not be too quick to ‘wish away’ Trump Sr’s more controversial features - they may be the very ones that allowed for his tremendous success.

For example, the instinct to hit back twice as hard, the ability to negatively brand one’s opponent so effectively that they are unable to escape the negative association, and are therefore defeated. Brutal honesty and I do mean brutal. The ability to win unapologetically. The tenacious way he sticks to his guns, political correctness be damned. Many people find these characteristics distasteful or unsportsmanlike, or worse. I think because of that, many people are willing to accept defeat rather than risk being unfairly called a racist or other name.

Trump chooses victory. We really, really need a winner right about now. Trump is a winner. Big league. Who among us can claim to know how he does it? So, let’s not mess with success.

None of this is to take anything away from his son - Jr really is awesome. I’m just saying the “the father should be more like the son” comment is bs

Let Donald be Donald. PLEASE don’t change a thing!

Donald Trump Jr. is absolutely the best representative for his father.
I saw him earlier in the campaign in NV and he was really good in the Q & A.
Last night’s speech was the best of the night.

The reality is all these hand wringing that Trump is crazy is nonsense.. he’s crazy like a fox.

He’s nearly 70, been successful in business for decades, and throughout it all he’s never ever been accused of being racist, or being unstable... yet he runs for President and now suddenly he’s a kook?

Its nonsense... the america people by and large aren’t going to buy the left’s fear mongering.

Running an America First campaign will pull in voters all across the electorate... Hillary and dems are going to be pasted.

Donald J. Trump, Jr. did such a wonderful job with his
speech. (The “enemedia” tried to accuse him of
“plagiarism”. Turns out that the one phrase he used was
written by the conservative SPEECHWRITER who had written
the book they were citing.

"The father should take lessons from the son," one man said. "He didn't tear anybody down."

Several members said they wish that Trump Sr. was more coolheaded and less controversial like Trump Jr.

I live in the wrong century.

Luntz is an anti-Trump jackass who stacks his focus groups with anti-Trump people. I’m sorry my software wound up in his hands.

On "Hannity" tonight, Frank Luntz spoke to a focus group of undecided voters about the Republican National Convention and the most impressive speaker they saw tonight: Donald Trump Jr.

I found it hilarious how he broke them out. The group that voted for Obama once were considered the "Independents" the group that voted for Obama twice were considered the democrats and the group that did not vote for Obama was considered the republicans. Luntz beams that he had a balanced group.

The problem is that the people voted for Obama even once should be considered democrats and the ones who voted for him twice should be considered hopelessly insane.

Not voting for Obama does not make one a republican.

So he starts with a stacked deck and expects me to take any conclusion from his little group seriously?

A great speech. All along I have been impressed by Trump’s children. I also liked Tiffany’s speech.
