Obama is not the one who would pull off a coup.His go ahead might be deemed necessary, but he is not the one who would do it.Valerie Jarrett would be more likely the center of a coup. It would be up to her and her close associates.
Coups have happened in other countries before, with mixed results; those staging them had best make sure their loved ones are secure. The Spanish Civil War dragged on a few years because people simply stormed the police stations and barracks (in areas where socialist/communist sympathies were strongest) and armed themselves; if the police/military resisted they were killed outright (including some intercepted before they could reach the stations/barracks).
I don’t know. He has purged the military in higher ranks.
Maybe I’ve gone over the cynical edge, but if the military were so duty bound to defend the US and constitution, Obama would already be removed.
That he isn’t gives me pause about any future hypothetical epiphanies of duty by our military/alphabets or government.

We are sworn to honor and defend the Constitution so we can’t just organize a military coup against the President just because he happens to be incompetent.
Failed coups degenerate into civil wars. My advice: Study the history of the Spanish Civil War and get to know your neighborhood's friendly retired Eighteen Bravo.

Concur. However, if any constitutional article is abrogated or suspended, then the entire contract is invalid, null and void and without further authority. This is a basic tenet of contract law, and a constitution is itself a contract.
Neither does any restoration or renewal of the provisions of the broken promise restore the document; to be lawful, the entire process of constitutional ratification and affirmation must be repeated. Until then, all bets- and all laws made under that previous constitution- are off.

I’m very familiar with the Spanish Civil War; it started 80 years ago almost to the day.
I posted this scenario back in June 2014:
Obama has militarized every federal agency, appointed his lapdog generals/officer corp, has the press clearly in his back pocket, and no opposition from congress to hold him and the administration accountable. I don’t know in what form it will come, but my gut tells me it will start with drone strikes and escalate from there.I posted this scenario a few weeks ago.
Obama will be term-limited out of the White House in 2016, but he has already hinted that he will "stay in Washington DC" after his presidency is over.What he will do is "organize" his civilian force that will have been weaponized by the time he leaves office.
Obama will arise as a leader in exile with his own loyal military, and he will challenge the incoming President with the threat of real force at some point early in the next administration.
Thinking about it further, it explains all the weapons, ammo, body vests, and armor requests from the BLM, USDA, IRS, Social Security, NOAA, and other bureaucratic outfits not expected to be heavily armored.
When Obama is ready, he will make a loyalty call to anyone from these government jobs who supports him, and will mobilize a militarized insurgency within all 50 states. He doesn't need a centralized army, he will have enough force in each state that matters, enough to scare.
