Newt Gingrich rips 'disgusting' media treatment of Melania Trump
Washington Examiner ^ | July 19, 2016 | Sean Langille

Former House Speaker Newt Gingrich accused the media of applying a double standard with the accusations of plagiarism in Melania Trump's covention speech.

"It is the most disgusting example of the news media's desperation to smear somebody who had a home run, bases loaded, amazing speech," Gingrich told the Washington Examiner.

"The media is so terrified," added Gingrich. "If you compare Bill Clinton next week and Melania Trump this week, you tell me which first spouse you'd rather have."

Personally, I find it difficult to decide which one I would rather have as a first spouse.

The “media” has no shame...or integrity. Fools.

Thank heavens he didn’t. Newt would’ve sunk Trump.

Newt is at his best on the loose...and playing offense. VP would constrain him.

Roger Ailes is being ask to leave for far less than Bill Clinton did. Many people are in jail for what Hillary did.
Why the double standard for the Clinton? The Mrs. Trump speech sentence copy is nothing but a distraction. Mrs. Trump was likeable and charming. She is the opposite of Hillary who is not likeable and not charming.

Hmmm..., we’ll, I still have my eye sight but, if you ask me how I feel I’d respond “With my hands and fingers...”

“I’ll take Melania for $2,000, Alex”

The Ministry of Propaganda will always advance the Democrat agenda at all times.

The left is not used to an opponent who will fight back.

Hillary needs all the advantages of a friendly media to put her in office. Her (the old media) supporters no longer control the flow of information.

This whole “controversy” is contrived, and is a desperate attempt by the Clinton campaign to change the subject, and have people wagging their tongues about anything but the speeches last night that exposed her many crimes, including complicity in the murder of 4 Americans in Benghazi, Libya.

So, what is going to be the next “controversy” to change the subject from Clinton’s crimes to something else?

I watched her speech. It was very powerful and moving. She spoke for about 15 mins but the MSM zeros in on a few seconds and ignores the rest.

Did anyone ask Melania?

Maybe she has an edgy sense of humor and played a joke on the media. We certainly are talking about her all day . . . just like we do when Donald shocks us.

She had a twinkle in her eye last night. I saw it.

The media have officially vetted and scrutinized Melania Trump in greater detail than they did Barack Obama.

Melania is no pansy, but it is painful to see a woman savaged this way by the media and the lefties. Hopefully Melania will follow in the footsteps of Nancy Reagan and keep proving her critics to be the fools that they are.

I agree. Usually she looks very serious, but last night she looked like she was enjoying herself.

Mrs. Trump was likeable and charming.

She was delightful. I really liked her. Particularly because my dad's family came from Czechoslovakia (he was furious when the Soviets went into Prague).

That part of the speech that everyone is upset about was general platitudes, could have been written by anyone. But 95% of it was about her story, about her relationship with her husband, about things no one else could write.

This was pure sabotage and I feel very sad for Mrs. Trump.

But she is an awesome, dynamic, beautiful woman and this will be forgotten.

Particularly after the public has to endure a week of Hillary complaining and pandering in her screechy, nasal voice.

How so?

I think he would have complemented Trump rather well.

Has anyone found the closet Pence has been hiding in since the Melania brouhaha erupted?
