Rupert Murdoch, executive co-chairman of 21st Century Fox Inc (FOXA.O), and his sons James and Lachlan agree that Fox News Channel boss Roger Ailes should leave the company but they have not settled on the timing, New York magazine reported on Monday, citing anonymous sources.

Three of Fox News’ biggest stars — Bill O’Reilly, Sean Hannity and Greta Van Susteren — have clauses in their contracts that would allow them to depart if Mr Ailes were to leave the network, the two people briefed on the dispute said.
This means a core team of on-air talent could follow Mr Ailes out of the door.
It may have been true, but she was a coward to not come forward or just quit. She had a choice, no one handcuffed her.
She finally comes forward for one reason I can think of. She’s riding the wake that Gretchen made. Gretchen did the hard work for her. Her motive I don’t know.

Very bad news for Fox. They’ll be left with Shep Smith and Megyn.

I will not be watching hardly anything on FNC. It is a shame. To be honest I am watching FBN more than FNC. MK is a real witch. Claiming sexual harassment after 10 years making her 35 years old at the time? MK was a damned prosecutor! I had no problem handling sexual harassment at the age of 25 without ruining careers. Sheesh, what a pathetic weasel she is.

Interesting, but where would they go? I can’t see any of the liberal networks racing to hire any of them....
That’s one thing about Fox News “talent” .... even if most of them are not particularly conservative, they are smeared in the eyes of liberal network executives and would find it difficult to land elsewhere, I would think.
I agree with your point that she should have been able to deal with it effectively, but I don’t think MK was ever a prosecutor. She was in corporate law.
I think the Murdoch boys are going to wreck Fox News, although it has already gone downhill enough that I never watch it anyway. But they are expected to turn it in a liberal direction, and who on earth needs just another lib network among all the others?? Fox News was never actually conservative in orientation, but it tried to be “fair and balanced” which is always hard to find in the media landscape.

If Roger starts anything even close to a network again, at this stage in his life, he would be wise to have a team of proteges working with and for him. They could carry on when the demands become to great. Roger has given us a gift, a lasting legacy of Fox News as we once knew it. All things must pass.
