I still say Rudy’s speech was the BEST..and I noticed something about his speech..NO TELEPROMPTER..I always enjoy hearing a great speech from the heart, not being read from a screen..and Rudy’s speech brought the house down!

Exactly! I believe the lifted paragraph was put there to take attention off the otherwise flawless American speech by Melania. And the spectacular 1st day of convention.
And I don’t think Melania put it there!
Exactly all this has done was to completely WASTE the other speeches... including Rudi’s...
And about the parents who spoke because their children’s lives were taken by illegal aliens.
Oh, and things like the thread I posted about CNN apparently tampering with a video of the Alton Sterling shooting.
(Remember how it was a big deal that a Life photographer removed an antenna from a photograph because it seemed to jut out of Mary Decker’s chin? Or National Geographic rearranged an Egyptian Pyramid for its cover? Now it’s wholesale deception.)
But this feeding of a non-story is something that our side is doing.
The left successfully managed to pretty much avoid discussing Benghazi, the security lapses of the private server, and the Clinton Foundation corruption.
Our side is allowing itself to be consumed by the most minor of plagiarism cases. That’s falling into a trap.
It’s a matter of discipline and self-control, and turning back to the real controversies that actually matter.
Stop talking about this until the media gives it its due importance - which is not much.
There are over a dozen threads on this on the News/Activism page. That needs to change.

Someone actually “had to be harmed” for Clinton’s highly reckless treatment of Classified material to matter (and the liberals say that it hasn’t been proved that any damage was done).
Melania Trump’s speech apparently plagiarizes a couple of sentences of a speech - the crime of the century!
Now, if what Melania Trump and/or her speechwriter did is so bad, what about what Hillary Clinton has done?!

Bingo. The intent here was two-fold:
- Make Millena’s speech seem fake/shallow
- Keep the content of the other excellent speeches out of the news
I totally agree. We’re letting the left hijack our great night. Last night was nothing short of spectacular. The speeches were amazing.
You’re right, Marcus Luttrell and Pat Smith were very moving. Rudy was incredible. Sheriff Clark was masterful. Everyone did a great job. It’s no wonder the dims are in full stop panic mode today. They should be.
I certainly don’t care to be screeched at by the party whose standard bearer is an unindicted felon.
Let Trump handle the miscreant on the inside. Let’s focus on what matters.

Yep. I think it can best be described as an unforced error and lost opportunity. Outside of this, the evening had some amazing moments. Notably your two examples, Giuliani and Melania. The contrast was set with the other party.
