Good. I wouldn’t put it past the loony left to try and get at Trump through his kids.

Thanks for these threads. It is so comforting to be with Freedom-loving patriots during these perilous times. This morning I woke to hear about the "plagiarism" controversy about Melania's speech supposedly having parts that were almost word for word like the speech of ... Ready for this?.... Michelle Obama. They did say "at least the clips played". So I say, if any similarities, Are they statements like. "I support my husband". I hate the MSM.

Melania's gave an awesome speech. The MSM certainly doesn't want people to know about Melania's university education or that she is fluent in five languages.

If I was a betting man, and I am, I'd bet the house that Ryan is booed when it's his turn to speak. /Pun intended

I wouldn’t bet against that.

It’s my hope that if Cruz is still allowed to speak he will receive a long and heartily sustained Boooooo when he steps up to the podium.

Addendum to my comment:

Also betting McConnell is not greeted warmly. Maybe not booed as badly as Ryan, but booed nonetheless!

As he should be.

With a bit of luck he'll be Cantorized, and can slither off to K street where his pleas will be met by the deaf ears of a Trump administration.

My hope, besides the booing, would be to have the delegates stand up and turn their backs to him!

Last night was TERRIFIC .. Melania absolutely STOLE the show !

The contrast between her beauty/class/loyalty/patriotism, and the unmitigated evil of that desiccated communist cow on the other side, couldn't possibly be more stark !

And Donald's entrance wasn't half bad either     ;-)

Uh oh, I just heard the two paragraphs overlaid. That speechwriter needs to be fired. Sabatage? Of course I never heard M O’s speech before. On Imus at least the announcers were very sympathetic to Melania.

They're eligible for Obamacare.

I really hope he does not speak at all. I think whatever he says will be a damper..

BUT if he MUST, your ideas of boooooooos(e?) isn’t a bad one.

Morning all. another hour or so at work.. yawn. Supposed to work til 8:30 but the owner/mgr is always late..

Need to do some catching up.

Good morning,Saint.

My thanks for once again giving us a place to gather.

Wow, over 2,800 posts last night!

So many great and powerful words and images.

Almost didn’t recover from Pat Smith’s speech, and that of the Benghazi heroes.

Rudy was so fired up I thought he was going to explode!

Never heard him speak that way before.

According to FoxNews, all three focus groups—Dems,GOP and Indies—absolutely loved his speech—that is rare.

Then Melania spoke—like an angel.

And by the way, folks—she wrote her speech herself.

Re: Mooch’e speech—it was similar themes, but it was NOT plagiarized.

So, put that stupidity to rest.

Lots of folks liked Gen. Flynn. Honestly, in my opinion, he spoke too long, and was repetitive too much. Needed more focus.

Apparently he speaks again tonight.

Sen. Cotton and Ernst were downers—and both were not really supporters of Trump. Cotton was among those in early March at that GOP/lib confab at Sea Island, GA to plot against Trump.
I am very skeptical about Cotton.

Ernst seemed to have been absorbed by the GOP Senate Borg, but to her credit she did mention Trump’s name once or twice.

Loved Trump’s entrance before he introduced his wife.

All in all. a wonderful evening.

God bless Donald Trump for giving a platform to the mothers and fathers of those who have lost their children because Obama and Clinton have failed to protect our nation.

As a parent and a grandparent, I marveled at the courage they showed to be able to speak to a convention and a nationwide audience about their pain.

One last note: the security staff better figure out who is giving passes to the Code Pink whackjobs.

That is a serious breach of security.

Thanks for the Day 2 thread. We carry over 2,845 replies from the Day 1 thread and well on track for 10,000 replies by the time Trump gives his acceptance speech Thursday night. I’m sure it will be theatrical.

Like you, I gave up on the major networks early last night. Way too much chatter and cutting away from the prime time speeches so they could weave their own narrative.. C-SPAN is the place to be.

I was disappointed to see many leave the convention hall after Melania’s speech. I know it was a very long day for them but they owed it to the speakers to hear every word. Hopefully with the 5:30 start today we keep the seats full all night.

I would also not dwell on MSM trying to make a big deal of fact that Melania’s speech shared a paragraph or two with previous Firsr Lady speeches. It’s ginned up controversy. Of course they are going to grasp any straw to get us talking about anything else than the beat-down Crooked Hillary was dealt last night. Melania did a great job and look forward to hearing from the Trump children over next couple days.

Ditto. Karl Rove is on Fox News right now going on about how unfortunate this all is, etc. - as if it means ANYTHING or WAS anything to begin with.

Bottom line - Melania was gorgeous, graceful, personable and intelligent, and she didn’t steal THAT from anyone, so the entire anti-Trump destroy-America-first media can screw off.

I don’t blame them. I tuned out during Flynn’s speech as well. The night should have ended with Trump and Melania and whoever planned it otherwise really cocked it up.

I said last night while watching and listening to Melania, “How lucky are we, we get Trump and Melania as First Lady!”.
