Kasich exemplifies why Republicans have been only marginally successful against the left. If you believe in something, fight for it. Republicans, like Kasich, haven't. Their ‘let's make nice’ approach is not virtuous, as they appear to believe. It's essentially putting the needs of the people and the good of the nation behind decorum and political correctness. This unwillingness to get their hands dirty and fight for principle raises the questions that either they aren't driven by principle, or they aren't willing to get down in the dirt and fight for what they believe in. Unfortunately, some of them have made it clear that they are willing to get down in the dirt and fight, if the fight is against their own nominee for the Presidency.
