To: Psalm 144

‘Stake,’ is Mormon jargon. I couldn’t find ‘stakeholder,’ but it’s easy to see how they could extrapolate it:

stake - A geographical-ecclesiastical unit of the Church, composed of several wards and sometimes branches.

stake center - A meetinghouse of the Church in which the administrative offices of stake leaders are also located.

stake president - The presiding authority of a stake.

Thanks, FW! I was fairly sure it was a term for one of the rungs along their social leadership hierarchy.
