Exactly. This is their biggest hurdle.
Unlike the old days, when a police officer appears in the rearview mirror of 98% of the public, they are not happy to see a LEO. They are instead concerned it is a predatory revenue-collecting agent who is awaiting a reason, perhaps fabricated, to effect a roadside stop. A bit less robotic and more human behavior would likely help this bridge to be crossed and an olive branches extended.
