That said rank/file patrol offciers are notoriously bad shots.
They need to become excellent shots. Their lives and the lives of the public depend on it. The problem with a SWAT team is the time it takes to get to the homicidal moron they have to deal with.

Yes they do, but getting/keeping them there would consume huge amts of tax dollars. Even so the police cant and arent eveywhere. The original idea was for We the People to be generally armed to aid the govt. Its the other way round these days and not working at all well.

I understand your sentiments, but at this point in time, there definitely something going on here. Whether or not it is coordinated, Obama blaming the victims is not helping.

“Cops are indeed the new centurions, all that stands between us and the abyss”
I absolutely detest that statement as it claims we the people are savages and that only the cops keep us peaceful.

Its obvious the MSM, Soros and the Blight House have been trying to fire up a race war. Time to hold these sh#ta$$es accountable.

"...I want everyone to respect authority, but law-abiding citizens should not have to fear the police..."
Exactly. This is their biggest hurdle.
Unlike the old days, when a police officer appears in the rearview mirror of 98% of the public, they are not happy to see a LEO.
They are instead concerned it is a predatory revenue-collecting agent who is awaiting a reason, perhaps fabricated, to effect a roadside stop.
A bit less robotic and more human behavior would likely help this bridge to be crossed and an olive branches extended.

I was born and raised in Germany and every year a policeman from my hometown visited our school and every class room and talked to us. At the end of his visit he always used to say. Remember the police is your friend and helper. I have never forgotten that.
BTW the father of a classmate of mine was a police officer. I don't know if it was her father who visited or another. The population of my hometown was only 3000. Today it's 6000

The goings on I see is Soros, obama’s handlers, and other foreigners and domestics attacking the US. They may be attacking cops, but that is the authority figure for now. They’ll attack us once the cops are weakened. Cops need to stop being so damned blue collar liberal and start defending themselves and America.

I actually kind of liked that statement. I don’t think it says that we are all savages, but there ARE savages among us. Look at what happened in San Jose when the cops stood down. They were hardly centurions that day and there WERE savages, as you could plainly see. It was not us.

The primary role that people see in their interactions with police is more that of tax collector, not a ‘peace officer’. No one likes tax collectors.
