Donald Trump is once again shifting the parameters of his proposed temporary ban on Muslisms entering the country, calling Sunday for "extreme vetting" of persons from "territories" with a history of terror — though not explicitly abandoning his previous across-the-board ban.
In an interview with "60 Minutes" that aired Sunday, Trump zeroed in on people from suspicious "territories" as those who will receive deep scrutiny when trying to enter the United States. He did not directly repudiate his previous call for an outright ban.
"Call it whatever you want," Trump told CBS when asked if he was changing his previously released policy.

The holy scriptures of Islam preach hate. If somebody identifies as a Muslim, the burden is on them to prove that they don’t observe the hateful portions of Islam. If they can’t meet that burden to our satisfaction, they don’t get to come here.
One of the most pressing problems is those who murder in the name of Islam, which is not all Muslims, but only Muslims.
Where is the shift? I’m pretty sure he mentioned vetting when he first proposed the “muslim ban” as the press likes to call it.

I hope that the extreme vetting includes the diplomatic community. Some time around September, 2001, it would appear that vetting was pretty much absent.
But then there’s the case of the next administration and its own love affair with radical Islam. There, the voters should have done some vetting.
Meanwhile, I suspect Frau Merkel is also vetting — ze bed.
It only makes sense. What we're seeing now is that some very scary people are already citizens of places such as France. All countries, not just the US, have to stabilize their populations. Otherwise, there won't be any civilization that isn't destroyed.

You cannot if they are muslims. The belief system is pure lying hatred and death. Does not work,in a constitutioal republic, and if we ever hope to get ours back, they cannot be here. They were fought against, the muslim barbary pirates, and kept out for a long damn time and need to be kept out again.

No Muslim who is not assimilative to US culture should be allowed entry.
And as far as the Saudis go, we are simply reciprocating their internal laws concerning foreigners who travel or reside there, and concerning religious freedom in Saudi Arabia.
What ultimately matters (and what we really don’t know) is Trump’s sincerity in keeping potentially subversive groups of people out of the country - vetting can be used to keep people out or expedite letting them in. Just look at the BO regime: it took conservative groups three years to get turned down for tax-free status by Lerner’s IRS; it takes some Syrian refugees three weeks to get cleared to move into this country coming from a war zone teeming with stealth Jihadists. With Obama, it’s clear who he sees as a problem, and who he doesn’t.
It is real simple, trump can adjust his reasoning to fit the occasion, he questions himself to make sure its right.
The typical politican will stick to what they said even if they know they are wrong because they do not want to admit they could have made a mistake.
Stick with your original proposal, Trump. Given the murder and mayhem that has transpired at the hands of mohammedans since your original proposal, why would you abandon it now?
And the difference between extreme vetting and an across-the-board ban us what?
Apparently liberals are too dumb to see this amounts to the same thing. SMH.
It’s not a shift, it’s a question of technique.
After all, we don’t have an explicit “no whites”, or “no White Europeans” ban on immigration, but since our descent into immigration foolishness started with Ted Kennedy in 1965, we might as well have.

Muslim immigration cannot be screened, since the immigrants’ locally-born children commit as much or more jihad bloodshed as their parents.
How does one “screen” a generation not yet born?
We can’t of course, so the only safe recourse is to ban it all. No Muslim immigrants period.
