I rewound the DVR. Here's more of what Shemp said (with GREAT disgust, it was his tone that got to me) to former Gov. Bobby Jindal when Jindal stated "We've all got to come together, regardless of party, regardless of color... We have to say All Lives Matter... We've got to protect and value our police... All Lives Matter..."

Shemp: "You know that phrase you just used is one that's seen by many as derogatory. Right? I just wonder why it is that you use that phrase when there's a certain segment of the population that believes it's a real dig on them."

Jindal: "Well, it's not meant to be... We have to be unified... We have to look beyond race... Police officers will run toward danger... They don't care if you're black or white. These are heroes!"

More from Jindal: " We have to be united... Honor our police officers... We're all made in God's image... All Lives Matter -- We're all in this together."

Shemp, shaking his head, disgusted expression on his face, whined: "I don't understand...Governor, why... WHY do you say that?? I mean... Certainly given that's the case, but 'cause every life matters on every level, but, you know that's a very, very divisive phrase that a lotta people hear and become reall upset about it. I wonder WHY you keep using it?!

Jindal: "But they shouldn't be...."

Shemp: "But they ARE... But they ARE, Governor." (He says with obvious disgust)

Jindal: "But, Shepard, that's what we've got to move beyond... Because people want to divide us... Every life is precious in God's eyes."

Shemp, now looking REALLY disgusted, fidgeting, shaking his head, looking down, wanting to end the interview: "I know... *snort* The semantics of all this are just SO unhelpful. And we talk about uniting, but we don't really do it... We haven't done it. And getting everybody on one page here is proving to be... *mumble, mumble*. (To FNC producer:) Yeah, I'm all set on time..."

He let Jindal speak for a few more seconds ("More important than anything else, let's keep these police officers in our thoughts and prayers.") then said with disgust: "Former Governor of Louisiana, Gov. Bobby Jindal, thank you. Martha, to you..."
