Virtue Signaling is when somebody parrots back an ideological tenet of the Left. Tweets demanding gun control, or green energy or that Islam means peace are all Virtue Signaling. I think VS (similar to its cousin BS) has come about as a byproduct of our technological era. A man or woman can’t signal their virtue in a few words to a mass audience because true virtue only becomes known with long, personal association. We no longer live in Victorian times or even the 1950’s where everybody knew their neighbors and their neighbor’s virtues. Also, true virtues, like being religious or actually helping people with your own hands instead of other people’s tax dollars, have been systematically destroyed by the left. All that is left is VS. I think that everyone should write in the comment section of a Virtue Signaler, the definition...and then call VS. The Left can’t be embarrassed, but they can be made to seem unfashionable.
