Yes, but the question remains if we have the stomach to conduct total war to win at all costs or if we remain mired in the kinder gentler nation-building hearts and minds crap that has dominated our thinking for many decades. It is never a question of ability with our military - it is a question of resolve. Do we have the stomach to do what needs to be done and fight both our enemies and the peaceniks in the media and in our legislature who would surely scream if we truly prosecuted our fight?
I don’t know. We can’t win with our present rules of engagement and if we unleash the dogs of war our nation may stop it because it is too horrible.
The problem that presents itself to Trump is that by the time he really declares war and starts bombing the shit out of ISIS(his words), there will be so many terrorists in this country that attacks will be incessant. You know what the media will do with that.

You both may be right. How the story ends is only known to the true God. I still have faith in half of our people, but it does lessen every year.
I think history will view the foreign policy and immigration policy of the Western world as an utter disaster in the last decade (going all the way back to the end of the Bush years). Our failure to address Iran properly along with encouraging the Arab Spring lit a fuse to something we did not anticipate. Obama took the Carter plan for Iran and applied it throughout the Middle East putting radical Islam in charge of nations, oil, and militaries. Any victories that we have had during his term have been despite us (Egypt) and not because of us.
We can’t win this with drones. We won’t win it with delayed bombing or developed targets after delayed approval from layers of bureaucrats. We certainly won’t win it by taking in refugees - in fact, that will make it worse here at home (look at France). We won’t win this without impacting a “civilian populace” or causing great suffering in some Muslim nations and absent some completely horrific act like nuclear attack(s) on our urban centers the West lacks the will and resolve to do that.
We will suffer more attacks here at home and throughout the world even as our leaders and media fail to recognize that they are at war with us and will be until they win or they are defeated. Trump certainly represents change in how we respond, but I fear that it won’t be enough until the Islamist impact the bankers. When the bankers and major corporate interests lose lots of money in the West you will see real action. Until then, it is probable that we are just acceptable losses.
Because they embrace the slimes. They worship the same god. They have been using the slimes as lil murder puppets to obtain power for quite some time now.
Thank goodness I live in Texas...arm up folks. WE are responsible for our own safety. If this were to have happened in Texas, it’s very likely the muzzie driver would have been nuetarlized by citizens...not the police.
