Baton Rouge Police on Friday (July 15) said they have arrested a fourth person, a 12-year-old boy, who they say was involved in a plot to kill police with handguns stolen from a city pawn shop.
Police said they worked with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms to to identify the boy. They had already arrested three other people -- an unnamed 13-year old, Antonio Thomas, 17 and Malik Bridgewater, 20.
Officials said on Tuesday that they had not yet identified who the fourth person was, but that they believed the person still had two handguns that were unaccounted for after the Saturday morning burglary. Police have pointed to the incident as a reason for their heavy military-style response to protesters, which included police responding to largely peaceful protests with automatic weapons, riot gear and gas masks.
The arrests came in the wake of the police-involved shooting death of Alton Sterling on July 5.

Bet it all gets thrown out...clients too young to have mens rea or some such.
Of course. African terrorist and paramilitary groups like Boku Haram rely heavily on young boys as fighters, some as young as 10. We’re seeing the same thing here with BlackLivesMatter-inspired terrorism.
Nowadays the age of innocence lasts about 10 years at the most for kids.
This a tragedy on many levels.
Wow. A 6th Grader conspiring to kill cops. My guess is this boy has been surrounded by adults or teens who buy into all this hatred and class envy. He may be put in Juvie, but there’s a chance he could look like a folk hero to those young punks, a poisonous influence. Do they ever put 12 y/o, in solitary? For the rest of Obama’s term, that may be the best option.
Ten years?
There are first graders cursing out teachers where I live. By age seven they are already feral.
Of course, also can’t suspend or expel them or paddle them as that’s against their rights.
Whoa! It’s even worse than I thought.

12 and 13 year old thugs in training frequently are charged as adults depending on the heinousness of the crime.
African terrorists in Florida relied on kids like urban drug dealers do
“Wow. A 6th Grader conspiring to kill cops”
More like a 3rd grader. I bet 2nd grade was hardest 3 yrs of his life up until now.
Yes, but his parents walked him to school, every single day....they were all in the same class together.
I’ll steal that
Special needs = momma gets an extra check.
We need to pay the breeders $1000 a year for NOT having kids and then a bonus if they stay baby free by age forty.
Instead there’s a huge cash incentive to squirt out bastards.
You’re probably right. Some kids do think they know all they need to very early. I recall being 9 years old, and saying ‘I think I’ve had enough of school. There’s nothing to do!’.
Needless to say, after a flicker of a smile was seen on my dad’s face, he put on his ‘all business’ look, and made it clear that while I was living in his house, I would continue going to school “MONDAY THRU FRIDAY!! Is that clear?”.
He said if I was bored, there were always encyclopedias and other books we could study after my homework was done. I ended up wishing I had kept quiet. My mother sat through it all, supporting my dad here and there. I thought she was going to be on MY side!
Somebody needs to slap the bubblegum out of this boy mouth for saying such things and truly meaning it. (Not very likely) Once you start allowing the short term, primal thrill of the hunt to be your guide in criminal actions, you’re going down the wrong road.
We need an electric bench not a chair.
“We need to pay the breeders $1000 a year for NOT having kids “
Pay $1,000 to doctors to neuter the savages.
Hope he has fun when he eventually winds up in prison for doing bad things.
