My only real problem with Pence is when Indiana passed a state religious freedom restoration act (RFRA), and he signed it into law. Then when he got a little blow back he turned and ran, turning his back on religious freedom. Not really a fighter.

Obama and Hillary are leaving a big mess. How many people have lied and carried water for the Democrats regardless of their bad decisions?
No problem with his support of free trade and immigration? It won’t be popular with the Trumpnuts (used affectionately, honestly). I expect Trump will make great trade deals but he is not going to quash trade. I expect him to crack down on Muslim and third world immigration but not seal the borders. And I expect 3 decent SC picks. I think politically that is what he can deliver and that is yuuuuge. If he throws in some tax cuts he will be Reaganesque.
Pence can help deliver all of those.
What has been going on this summer alone is now handing very much the White House to Mr. Trump. Security is job 1.

Trump had two groups who don’t trust him: conservatives and the GOP establishment. He needs the $ of the establishment and to shut down the Never Trump assholes once and for all. So he chose an Establishment person instead of Newt.
Newt said what was needed to be done re: Muslims. Pence disagreed with Newt. Trump chose Pence. Actions speak louder than words. I’m afraid this may be the first of many disappointments conservatives have of Trump. The problem is that the Democrat side is so extreme, that Trump can just assume conservatives will vote for him regardless. And he’d be right, unless they just stay home like they did when Romney ran.
How many people have died because of bad decisions? Someone should be held accountable for bad decisions and making the world such a dangerous place.
