(CBS) – Indiana Gov. Mike Pence was raised in the Hoosier state, but he says he has a strong, personal connection to Chicago.
WBBM Political Editor Craig Dellimore reports from the Loop.
Pence says his grandfather emigrated to the U.S. from Ireland in 1923 and came to Chicago, where he drove a bus for 40 years.
In a speech to the City Club of Chicago in December 2014, he said his parents grew up on the South Side.

We will find out every little detail about Mike Pence. Obama not so much.
So now we will hear every single detail of his life, and his parents and grandparents. We will learn all of the types of things we never learned about Obama.

IL is a great state if you are not in Chicago or Springfield...Many of us here are very envious of what Pence has done in Indiana.
Our Republican Governor is such a loser, he won’t even comment on Presidential politics...He said that yesterday when asked about Pence. Rounder is turning out to be a real jerk IMHO.

Personally I wanted someone with more pizzazz ...actually you could say A campaign’s dream ticket! I have to say I’m a little disappointed but then again I do not know one iota of mr. Pence and what he can bring to the table! I just wish it would’ve been a female either Hispanic or black or a Hispanic male!

Well he did accept the VP position so if you don't like him vote for Trump and lose him.
What Pence has accomplished for Indiana
•We are in the black
•Have an AAA financial rating
•He’s lowered taxes
•Built three bridges over the Ohio River that were just talked about for fifty years
•Have added to our highway system
•Many of our factories have expanded
