They have narrowed it down to 6, 2 of which are white, and have 0 chances of getting the job. It will probably turn out to be Railings, as blacks like how he handled the Bridge blockade. Many demands the mayor confirm the appointment. Mayor said he stuck by his campaign promise to do the search and he did. Railings is one of the 6.
He would be cheaper than an out of town prospect, has been doing the job for months, and is respected by fellow officers for the most part.
You have to understand Memphis politics as far as Police and Education go, the Leaders must be black, even though a white could be better qualified. They want a all black school board and Police Dept. Problem is half the black population has been in prison thus are eliminated from applying. They keep re-electing the same crooks back into office, most predominate name is the FORD family, all crooks.

They mention # of homicides, they don’t tell you how many were shot or stabbed and are still in hospital or recovering at home. A LOT. # of homicides is up 12% over last year, all crime is up.
One of the main reasons we got the H out of there 3 years ago, just going over the county line dropped our car ins nearly in half. Have all GOP state and Fed representation. Draw back no shopping, no real medical or jobs and you still have to go into Memphis for that.
