The FBI has found no evidence so far that Omar Mateen, who killed 49 people and wounded more than 53 at the Pulse nightclub in Orlando, chose the popular establishment because of its gay clientele, said U.S law enforcement officials.

“While there can be no denying the significant impact on the gay community, the investigation hasn’t revealed that he targeted pulse because it was a gay club,” a U.S. law enforcement official said.

So, let's get this straight: the FBI will doggedly pursue a woman who shows people how to properly scoop melon-balls or craft florets out of butter if she lies to them, but it will not bestir itself to charge a suspect with a history of demonstrably violent intentions.

By the end of it, FBI will still be unsure about his exact motives but will, at the same time, somehow be absolutely, positively sure that the attack had nothing to with Islam.
