Very good choice. Anyone with a bit of brains can get out the map and take a look at the states around Indiana and see why this is a excellent choice.

They’ve got my vote against the monstrosity that’s been allowed to capture the Democrat nomination.

Pence accepted, but as soon as the homosexuals start wailing, he will cave and ask Trump to ask him again so he can refuse.

The V.P. has not been decided yet...Trump has postponed tomorrow because of what happened in France...
Something Americans haven’t seen for 8 years, a Leader that thinks about others before him self...
The V.P. announcement can wait, the people in France need our prayers right now...
God Bless President Trump...

It wasn’t Pence that caved on that it was the state legislature

Maybe the selection of Truman as VP in 1944 is comparable...plain Midwesterner on the lower half of the ticket with a charismatic figure on top. Of course FDR was in failing health in 1944 and the Democratic Party insiders knew that he wouldn't survive another 4 years (and didn't want Wallace to become President). Trump appears to be very healthy.
One advantage of Pence is that he will be only 65 after Trump has served 8 years...Gingrich would be 81 after serving 8 years as Vice President so not a plausible candidate in 2024.

Last poll I saw had Pence at 40% popularity as a governor in IN.
