Newt Gingrich, a finalist on Donald Trump's vice presidential shortlist, flew to Indianapolis to meet with Trump on a private jet provided by Fox News host Sean Hannity, two sources with knowledge of the situation told CNN.

The Fox News host flew the former House speaker to Indianapolis early Wednesday morning to meet with the presumptive Republican nominee as he holds late-stage meetings with his VP finalists, the sources said...

Hannity, who has publicly backed Trump, said Tuesday night that he was backing Gingrich for VP. "I wouldn't be happy with anyone but Newt," he said on his Fox News show...

Well Newt is my first choice but I don’t think its going to happen. I keep saying Pence but he’s not much of an attack dog. At this point who knows?

Sessions is the one he should pick. He is gracious and courtly but can get cranked up and really defend his positions. As far as him being needed more in the senate, I’m not so sure. Even if the pubs hold the senate, that does mean Sessions would end up in the leader ship. The GOPe hate him and they will still be there. Chastened perhaps but still trying to defend their turf.

I do like Newt and he’s brilliant but I don’t think he’s the guy.

Is Manfourt giving signals on who he picked? What isn’t good is that millions of Americans voted for Trump in the primary and Newt has been favored to be VP for months.

And then all of a sudden Manafourt is in charge and it will be very wrong if Newt is shoved out as VP because of Manfort or the Trump kids. Newt has been defending Trump since last Summer. And Manafort shows up and all of a sudden, Pence who endorsed Cruz OVER Trump during the primary gets more attention that Newt?

That is just WRONG on so many levels. Newt has been for Trump since last summer, and yet Trump is considering Pence who went on record for support of Cruz over Trump. That in itself should be a deal breaker.

Newt > Pence

Pence is a girly man who has to use notes when he speaks.

Newt uses no notes and is a beast at public speaking and debates!

If Tokyo Rove was really pushing for Newt last night, as the above post link states, then FOR SURE I would never want Newt.

If true, one wonders why would Rove want Newt?
Answer: Because Newt is a GLOBALIST.

It would be JFK-LBJ; RR-GHWB all over again.

“Two” means (1) the one who gets it, and (2) one who doesn’t get it. We will know who gets it. We’ll never know who the second one was. Pure Trump.

Pence is Mannequin man.

Yes. Kind of cardboard-y. But if he's made the final cut, I suppose there are layers we have not seen.

That says to me its not Newt. Trump would have paid the bill.

For an exclusive, Hannity would gladly pay the bill.

Sessions met with Trump, today I believe. He’s not on the vaunted “list of three.” Which means absolutely nothing.

My prediction is Sessions.

He will reassure voters.
He knows the process.
He knows the issues.
He’d destroy Hillary and her flying monkey - whoever it is.

While I understand the allure of Pelosi’s couch partner-Newt. It may be worthwhile to read this well researched article on him.

Sean has always loved Newt. When Sean was working out of WGST radio here in Atlanta during the Bill Clinton years, he had Newt on his radio program pretty regular. They go way back. Sean is naturally going to be pulling for Newt. They are good friends.

That being said, I prefer Newt as the White House Chief of Staff.
