Our observations from our adjacent posts above are remarkably similar.
As a law-abiding, tax-paying, friendly, and decent person who hasn't had so much as a parking ticket in decades...I find the law enforcement us v. them attitude of the past fifteen years or so rather tiresome.

Agreed.
That is the fault of training. Cops are no longer taught to be “peace officers”; they are now my like a paramilitary force and see the average civilian as the enemy; rather than as their employer.
